Family COVID Clean Up Challenge

The Parish of French Village Mothers’ Union is sponsoring a Spring Cleanup! Take your family outside and do a spring cleanup and help our neighborhoods look their best.

The St. Margaret’s Bay Rails to Trails Association, it’s members and users would greatly appreciate any help with clean up along the trail if anyone would like to take the challenge along a section of trail.

What: Pick up garbage
Where: A public area in your neighbourhood
Who: Families of any size 1 – 5
When: During the week of May 10 – 17

Choose an hour or two and see how much garbage your family can pick up.

Take pictures or a video and send them to p.frenchvillage@ns.sympatico.ca for posting on the Parish of French Village website and Facebook pages.

Helpful Hints:

  • Wear kitchen rubber gloves or work or gardening gloves.
  • If you are near a road wear brightly colored or reflective clothes.
  • Grabbing tool if you have one.
  • Grocery bags are good for small children
  • Children must be supervised

Please remember to practice social distancing when competing in this challenge.
