Local Camino Walk Concludes Today
Louise Christie missed out on travelling to Spain with her sister and her partner for a Camino pilgrimage walk due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Not one to be discouraged, Louise decided to continue with her walk, but in her own back yard.
Louise walks a 20km round trip route on the St. Margaret’s Bay Rails to Trails trail from the Bike and Bean in Tantallon to Boutlier’s Point.
Her once in a lifetime Camino walk was to be a 267km trek. To walk roughly the same distance she will make 14 round trips for a total of 280km with her last 4 hour walk taking place today – Good Friday!
CTV News heard about Louise’s inspiring story did a segment with her. You can watch the video on CTV’s website here.
Congratulations Louise, you are an inspiration to all of us!
