Island View Dr to Station Rd at the Head of St Margaret’s Bay is reopen

Attention trail users

The section from Island View Dr to Station Rd at the Head of St Margaret’s Bay is reopening at 5 pm tonight.

There is still some more gravels to go down to finish and compact and that will be done next week on the last 600 m to Island view.

We thank the community for their patience , we know the importance of the Trail in this area and worked as fast as we could while securing contractors and managing the project since the July floods . This was the third major event for us to deal with in less than a year and the first washout we have dealt with . We are a volunteer group and are dedicated to the trail for the Community .

We as a group still have more damage to deal with and will communicate which area when it begins as well as which area, all dependant on weather etc.
