Spring ATV Closure in Effect
Please note that the Spring closure of our trail to ATVs and Side-by-Sides will come into effect Sunday March 8th 2020.
we would kindly ask that ATVs and Side-by-Sides refrain from using the trail. This closure is due to spring thaw, to preserve the surface of the trail. Once the thaw is complete, it will be opened up again.
Trail users will be notified here on our website, here, through our social media accounts and the signs will be removed from the trail.
The annual spring trail restriction is in place due to soft trail conditions helps preserve the trail surface that we have worked so hard to maintain. At this time of year heavy machines can cause pot holes and ruts to begin to form, which can be hazardous to trail users and require volunteer time and money to repair.
The Board of The St. Margaret’s Bay Rails to Trails Association would like to thank users for their understanding, and ask that users please respect the trail restriction!
UPDATE April 20 2020 –
